Pour Point Depressants
Our PPDs and flow improvers help to reduce the pour point of high waxy crudes and improve their flow properties. Many of our PPDs are wax dispersants and paraffin control additives and have proven successful performance in a number of crude oils of Indian, Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern & African markets. The effectiveness of our products as a PPD or flow improver is dependent on the crude characteristics of different oilfields.
There are several benefits of using PPDs which are listed below:
- Reduction in pour point
- Reduction in plastic viscosity
- Reduction in yield value
- Considerable improvement in flow properties, easy pumpability at low temperature.
Demulsifier
Dai-ichi has developed a range of demulsifier intermediates of various chemistries, to ease the economical seperation of salt and water from crude oil. These intermediates are capable of separating various types of emulsions under the most demanding field conditions such as short residence time, high turbulence, high solid loading, low temperature and high water content. Our comprehensive portfolio of crude oil demulsifiers are known for their consistent quality and performance. Our expertise in alkoxylation technology and superior R&D and pilot plant infrastructure, enables us to quickly develop customized products based on client specifications and performance requirements.
The benefits obtained by incorporating a demulsifier formulation into the crude oil are:
- Drier oil, immediate water separation
- Sharper interphase
- Higher quality effluent water with very low oil content
- Low salt content in the crude oil
- Reduced overall treatment cost
- Increased yield of production
Imidazolines
Imidazolines are thermally stable, organic, nitrogenous bases which form the basic constituent of corrosion inhibitors for oil well drilling, crude oil production, crude oil transportation, and for the refining & lubrication industries. They have excellent ability to become cationic with the negatively charged surface of metals, fibers, plastics, glass, and minerals. The film forming and corrosion inhibition properties, together make Imidazolines one of the key intermediates for a variety of industrial applications. They can be used as emulsifiers and co-emulsifiers for both oil-in-water and water-in-oil systems.
The features and advantages of Imidazolines are mentioned below:

● Can be solubilized in the aqueous medium
● Water repellent
● Soluble in hydrophobic solvents as base
● Good lubricity improver

RSN is the titer (ml of DM water) required to produce persistent turbidity in 1 gram of sample dissolved in 4% w/w benzene/dioxin solvent at 20 C.
AWN is the titer (ml of DM water) required to produce persistent turbidity in 1 gram of sample dissolved in 100 ml of acetone at 20 C.
